Hello there!
Since lately we’ve been getting several questions which are alike but asked by different users, we decided to open a page of questions which are frequently asked. This way we can be able to keep the blog organized and also save time for our users and for the blog’s management. (:

So, here it goes!

About Kevin and Ryan

1.- Are you Kevin and Ryan?
No, we’re not Kevin and/or Ryan. We’re just fans who decided to make a blog for them because we admire their work! (:

2.- How did Kevin and Ryan meet?
Kevin and Ryan met at a YouTube meeting (YouTube Live) in 2008. You can check their first encounter here. 

3.- What’s YTF?
YTF is a group of friends. This group consists of Kevin Wu (Kevjumba), Ryan Higa (nigahiga), Chester See (chestersee), JRAquino (jraquinomusic), Victor Kim (victorvictorkim), Dominic Sandoval (theDOMINICshow) and recently added Andrew Garcia (andrewagarcia).

4.- What does YTF mean?
After a long mystery, it seems like YTF’s consistent meaning is “Yesterday, Today, Forever”. To learn more about the meaning, you can click here.

5.- How tall are Kevin and Ryan?
Ryan is 5’8” while Kevin is 5’11”.

6.- When are their birthdays?
Kevin’s birthday is on June 12th and Ryan’s in on June 6th. They’re both from the 1990 line.

7.- Are they dating anyone at the moment?
No, they’re not dating anyone at the moment. Neither of them have confirmed the existence of a girlfriend. Kevin has confirmed that he’s currently single.

8.- Do Kevin and Ryan attend college?
Kevin used to attend college but he’s taking a break from it. As for Ryan, we’re not sure. Someone told us a while ago that he makes transitions between LA and LV in order to keep an eye in his studies, but we’re not sure.

9.- Where do Kevin and Ryan live?
Both live in Los Angeles, California. Ryan lives with Dominic Sandoval (D-Trix), while Kevin has Victor Kim as a roommate. It has been said that the four of them live in the same building, hence why they’re seen frequently together in recent videos. We don’t know the exact location of the building since that’s a matter of privacy.

Also, Ryan has a place in Las Vegas, reason of why he seems to transition around places often.

10.- Where can I send Kevin and Ryan something?
Neither of them have a PO Box or a place in which fans can send them something physical or material. Nevertheless, you can be able to give them gifts when meeting them (in events they host, etc)

11.- Why Kevin’s mom doesn’t appear in any of his videos?
Kevin’s mom doesn’t appear in any of his videos because she rather be out of the public eye, unlike Papajumba. Both Kevin and his father respect her privacy.

12.- Kevin has a brother?
No, Kevin does not have a brother. His “twin brother” in his AWKWARD video was just himself with editing effects. Nevertheless, Kevin does have a sister. The one who has a brother is Ryan, his name is Kyle and he appears in his Off The Pill: Weird People video.

13. What race/ethnicity are Kevin and Ryan?
Kevin is Taiwanese American and Ryan is Japanese American.

14.- Whatever happened to Sean?
Ryan mentioned in the description box in of his videos: “the reason Sean isn’t in videos anymore is because he goes to college in Oregon and I’m in Nevada. We’re still friends and we see each other every time we come back to Hawaii for winter/summer break. ” Nevertheless, he recently appeared in one of Ryan’s videos.

15. Ryan has ADHD?
We think he does. We’re able to know this because a few months before we received messages about fans asking him on meetings if he actually had ADHD, answering positively to it.  Nevertheless, we haven’t found a consistent proof to this (Like a video or a tweet, etc).

16. Is Jeremy Lin, Ryan’s cousin?

No, he is not. Even though in one of his videos Ryan says he is, it was all for the good fun. 

17. What video editing software does Kevin and Ryan use?

We’re not sure about Kevin, but Ryan uses iMovie.

About Us

1.- Where are you guys from?
Kathleen and Yifang are from the US, while Alex is from Mexico.

2.- What program do you use for editing?
The program used for editing pictures and gifs is called Paint Shop Pro 7.

3.- What program do you use for gifs?
Animation Shop 3. If you need any kind of tutorial, we hope you find this helpful.  

4.- Do you make gif requests?
Yes, as long as it’s Kevin and/or Ryan related, just leave us the link of the video in our askbox and tell us which part of the video you want giffed.  

5.- Can you follow me?
We’d follow all of our lovely followers if we could, but since jumbahiga is a sideblog, we can’t be able to do that. Sorry! :/ 

6.- How long does it takes you to make an animation? Is it difficult?
Making animations is a really easy task to do but you also require patience when making them. We usually take about 15-20 minutes in making a gif because we tend to take time in choosing the right frames (since we have to guess which frames could be the parts we’re looking for), that’d be the hardest part. But you have fun, overall! (:
